It’s been awhile since I painted a ceramic piece. The fairy was originally done all in yellow…blonde hair, yellow roses, yellow dress, and wings. Nothing about her stood out at all. I painted this a couple months back. I had a lot of trouble trying to paint the undersides of leaves. That’s probably the only thing I’m not thrilled about. I think it looks pretty good otherwise.

There’s a place in PA that my aunt introduced me to that sells all kinds of porcelain figurines and whatnots at discount prices. I got these swans there. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to make them a match set or not. I’m glad I decided to though.

The third flower fairy in the series I’ve painted. Several people have been surprised at how much detail I put into the little butterfly that’s resting on her arm. It just makes it all the more special!

This is the second of the flower fairies that I’ve painted. It’s a little hard to see but there is red glitter on the lily, and there is also glitter on the fairy’s dress.

This is one of four porcelain figurines I got at Deals back when it was a dollar store. I’ve re-painted it so the colors would be more vivid. I wish I had a before picture to show the difference. I think I will eventually display these in my craft room.
